VA ASLA Elects New Executive Committee Members 

RICHMOND, VA, December 8, 2008 - The Virginia Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (www.vaasla.org) has elected seven new Executive Committee members for the 2008 calendar year. 

Andrea Almond is the new Vice President for Membership and Service. She is a landscape designer for DesignForum in Richmond.

Nancy Christoph Rodrigue, ASLA, is the chapter's new President-Elect. She is also a landscape architect with LandMark Design Group in Virginia Beach, VA.

Tom Derrickson, ASLA, is the chapter's new Vice President of Events.  Tom is a landscape architect with LandMark Design Group in Williamsburg, VA. 

Nathan Gruver, ASLA, is the chapter's new Vice President of Governance.  He is a landscape architect with Timmos Group in Richmond, VA.   

Doug Mettler, ASLA, and Erica Gatti, ASLA, are new at-large members of the Executive Committee.  Dan is a landscape architect with the Williamsburg Environmental Group in Williamsburg, VA, and Erica is a landscape architect with the Timmons Group in Richmond, VA.   Erica also previously served as Chapter Secretary. 

Teri Commander is the Chapter Coordinator.

The new vice presidents will serve 2-year terms and the new at-large members will serve 1-year terms.  Continuing service on the ASLA executive committee are: Lynn Crump, ASLA, Trustee and an environmental program planner with the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation; Kevin Barnes, ASLA, President and a Landscape ARchitect with Lumsden Associates, PC in Roanoke, VA;   Barry Frankenfield, FASLA, Treasurer and a landscape architect with the City of Virginia Beach; Michele Dawson, Secretary and a landscape designer for WPL in Virginia Beach; Carol Rizzio, ASLA, Vice President of Communications and a landscape architect with Land Studio, PC in Norfolk, VA; Ann Stokes, ASLA, Vice President of Visibility .
