Architecture Exchange East 2008 Request for Proposals

Architecture Exchange East 2008
Request for Proposals

Architecture Exchange East, the Mid-Atlantic's premier conference and expo for the design and construction industry, is accepting proposals for qualified speakers to deliver presentations at the 2008 conference, November 12-14, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Virginia. This will be the 21st annual conference presented by the Virginia Society of the American Institute of Architects, and we hope that you will join us in making Arch Ex 2008 the best ever.

Arch Ex 2008 will offer more than 70 interesting and engaging seminars and workshops, allowing attendees to earn a maximum of 18 AIA/CES Learning Units in one place. These sessions, coupled with tours, exhibits, and a keynote address, will excite and challenge our ever-expanding community of architects, engineers, contractors, interior designers, planners, industry leaders, and students.

Participant feedback from prior conferences tells us that our attendees are seeking value in the form of new and advanced content - they come to Arch Ex to find the latest and greatest developments in the industry to use in their practice. Specific, focused seminars should be proposed that can convey information in one of these formats:

  • Three- or six-hour workshops, offered on Wednesday, November 12. There will a limited number of these sessions.
  • 90-minute seminar presentations to be offered on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14.
  • A limited number of seminars MAY be offered over a three-hour block that spans two seminar slots. Please indicate on your form if you wish to be considered for a three-hour seminar.

Keep in mind that we are looking for sessions that are interesting, relevant to an audience of architects, and reflect current or emerging practice.  To propose an offering, please contact Jim Walker at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  to obtain the required Presentation Information Form and submit it to us by April 18, 2008.
