FULL-TIME LANDSCAPE DESIGNER POSITION AVAILABLE

We are a Boston based firm with a remote presence in VA, looking for a motivated individual with solid experience, technical skills, confidence and a can-do attitude.  We are a collegial and collaborative group of professionals working in a hybrid model successfully.  Our strong community focus is at the heart of our core practice in K-12 schools, parks, athletic facilities and multi-family housing.

At Warner Larson, we foster a team spirit and encourage participation in all steps of project planning, design, permitting and construction. This position includes assisting Project Managers with the preparation of technical drawings, presentations and publications for multiple concurrent projects and proposals as well as managing project tasks. 

Minimum qualifications:

·        Bachelor or master’s degree in landscape architecture.

·        2+ years of professional work experience

·        Strong technical skills in AutoCAD

·        Solid knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, PowerPoint.

·        Some proficiency in SketchUp, Revit is advantageous.

·        Excellent written and good communication skills desired.

·        Schedule flexibility as needed to meet submission deadlines.

Professional registrations: MA or VA Landscape Architect license, LEED AP, CPSI, etc. are advantageous, but not required.

Job Description

·        The role will primary be supporting Senior Project Managers on variety of projects on different phases of the project.

·        Duties shall range from design studies during feasibility and schematic phases, participating in client meetings, producing illustrative graphics, managing CAD details, technical specs, handling construction administration submittals to name a few. This is a great learning potential to be exposed to all aspects of the profession.

·        The role also has a lot of growth potential to graduate to be a Project Manager

·        The role is fully remote with a once a week in-person checking with VA based principal in Richmond.
