Join USGBC VA and ASLA VA as we explore the newly renovated market area with members of the design team. Since its grand opening at the end of last year, the market area has seen a growth of activity from family events to outdoor dining. We will hear about the urban design including challenges with selecting and promoting tree growth, pedestrian use and accessibility, and stormwater management.
The 17th Street Market embodies Shockoe Bottom’s vibrant character and continues to serve as a neighborhood resource. Get a glimpse of why this area remains a center for commerce and connection for over 275 years.
