ASLA-NY & Victor Stanley: Economic Resilience: Overcoming Financial Uncertainty in Landscape Architecture

Resilience is a term that most Landscape Architects are familiar with, especially when thinking about issues surrounding climate change. For example, we consider our coastlines in the face of sea level rise, and impervious urban space with regard to increased storm severity and flood risk. Our economic climate also undergoes periods of upheaval and we as Landscape Architects, designers and emerging professionals must also be agile in our ability to adapt to these dynamic and sometimes unpredictable forces.

This panel on economic resilience is assembled with three Landscape Architects and designers who will share their individual stories and perspectives as practitioners and entrepreneurs. They will outline how they have adapted to specific economic obstacles, and speak to their insight on becoming more resilient as professionals in developing survival strategies for uncertain economic times.
