Summer Positions: Prepare with professionals

Apprehensive about landing your first job or summer internship? Well we were too.

The ASLA VA emerging professionals committee has gathered eight young pros to help you make that career leap with our first event March 31st. Hear our take on the current job market, insights into different company types, entry level job expectations, and advice for crushing your interviews.

Half way through, we'll split everyone into breakout groups led by a committee member so you can ask questions, practice interview pitches, review work samples, portfolios, resumes, or anything else.

It's ok to be nervous, but being unprepared does you a disservice. This is not scouting, so come as you are and don't worry about being judged on completion. We've all had our share of success and failure and want you to be better prepared for success. After the session, our contact information will be made available and we encourage you to reach out with any questions not covered.
